Cyclists riding no-handed

John S

Recommended Posts

Quite often as I'm driving around, I see some cyclist (usually a teenager) cycling with no hands, and I think "you idiot, if something happens you have no control of your bike".

And now 34 year old Chris Froome, whilst riding with no hands at approximately 40mph (and after being warned by his manager or trainer) got hit by a gust of wind, lost control of his bike and hit a wall, sustaining severe injuries.

Froome, you should be an example to other cyclists, but instead you act like a complete imbecile! A broken right femur, a broken hip, broken elbow and broken ribs? Serves you right you utter prat! Personally, I hope this fecks up your cycling career completely, it'll serve you right for ignoring GOOD advice. And I also hope your total stupidity teaches other cyclists not to act like an absolute **** on the road.

That last wish will never happen. Every day I go into town I see many examples of cyclists acting like complete A-holes. I wonder if any of them were named Chris Froome

I took the advice from my late Dad's, also late best mate (who taught me to ride a bike) when I was a Lad.

Have you seen the idiots who cycle no handed, talking on their mobile, and smoking a cig? We have a few of those.

A newer menace is the scooter brigade, often wearing a suit, a shoulder bag, and a cycling helmet. They switch between pavement and road at will, with little or no warning, just like the cyclists do.

The other day while driving under the 'dark arches' in Leeds, I heard his wheels, long before I saw him, a guy on a skateboard, weaving in and out of rush hour traffic. He was wearing dark clothes, no reflective strip, and no helmet. A prime candidate for a 'Darwin Award' if ever I saw one.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

Yep, these idiots should not be allowed to breed. Let natural selection sort the problem out.

That would get you a ticket. Driving without due care.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Unfortunately, yep :(

Equally unfortunately, the cyclist would get away scot free.
