Are you able to explain what he did wrong?

Was it recording video in a public place?

Was it reading the BBC website?

It certainly wasn't prejudicing the outcome of a trial because the child rapists had already been found guilty and were only going back for sentencing. Their trial judge is also on record saying that his actions couldn't have prejudiced the trial.

It's not my job to explain what he did wrong. He has had his day in court, more than one actually, and he has been found guilty. Just like anyone else who breaks the law and is found guilty he suffers the consequences.

There is something deeply ironic and a tad hypocritical about him becoming an asylum seeker though. Life in his own country has become difficult for him (his own fault) so now he want's to go to another country because his life should be better. A great idea when it suits him.

So you are happy to condemn a man (quite possibly to death) without being able to articulate what he did wrong?

Interesting.....

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Wow, condemning a man to death?

I am not responsible for his crimes and I have not found him guilty of anything. The only person responsible is him. I think ALL criminals should face the consequences, regardless of their race, creed or political affiliations.

As for articulating his crimes, I am sure that they have been articulated very clearly by professionals in court.

Interesting that you claim he couldn't have broken the law because the defendents were found guilty anyway.

IMO opinion the breaking of the law is not dependent on the outcome.

If someone breaks into your house to steal your television, gets as far as the window and decides the TV is too heavy and puts it down again, then you are saying that no law has been broken because the TV was not, in fact, stolen. If someone steals your car and the police get it back then no crime has been commited and and the thieves should not be punished?

The old adage "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime" springs to mind.

It wasn't as if he didn't know. He had been warned to stop and decided to carry on, his decision.

He wasn't found guilty of filming or reporting, he was found guilty of contempt of court.

He was ordered to stop by the court more than once.

He decided that the law didn't apply to him. It did.

Do I feel any sympathy for him?

What do you think?

Contempt of court is no big deal ,i refused to stand and told the magistrate to get stuffed and all i got was 28 days lol

Just saying the court is irrevelant (no training needed by magistrates but power to imprison on a whim given) is contempt!

He was ordered to stop by the court more than once.

No he wasn't.

He decided that the law didn't apply to him. It did.

He asked whether he could film and was told to check at the entrance.

He did, and the new guidelines clearly states that any reporting restrictions should be posted on the door - they weren't.

Then he checked the court's website because the new guidelines clearly state that any reporting restrictions should be posted there - they weren't.

When he confronted the rapists, he stayed off court property, he made a point of not presuming guilt (although that was already established) and the only information that he broadcast about them was already in the public domain courtesy of the BBC.

Then when they arrested him, they didn't arrest him for contempt of court or for breaching reporting restrictions, they arrested him on a made up charge of breech of the peace.

Not followed it, but if as you say Ken he was arrested for BOP then he must be asked to agree to keep the Peace and only if he refused can he be jailed.
