Lincolnshire is mostly rural and low lying and this river, like most of the rivers in the area is little more than what you might call a creek.

Well county rather than country does make it a bit more palatable. Whilst making me look a bit more stupid (haha)

 

Still, I'm a bit ashamed of my fellow anglers total disregard for an event like this. It was a big deal - wasn't it??

We all have brain farts - enjoy pointing out mine.....

 

To be honest, I didn't hear of this event at the time and given the time of year that it happened and the location, I wouldn't be surprised if the fish were killed and washed out to sea before people realised what had happened, with the extent of the damage only being confirmed by surveys.

It's hard to make a news story out of discovering that a few fish have vanished.
