Relentless rain...

Tigger

Tigger,

I know exactly how he will get on. He will reluctantly endure a day of "catching" carp and tell you how delightful it is to catch a pocket full of dinks.

Phone

There you go Phone, I've edited your post so that it makes more sense.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I've keep on hearing about dinks - what exactly are dinks??

It's phone speak for small fish Martin.

Although it really means any fish that needs some finesse in order to catch it.

It's been like that on and off for the last month up here.

This the present situation on all rivers in the area

Not just the river Aire, but if you zoom out, as the orange markers show, just about every river in Yorkshire.

It's an age thing chesters, it happens to the best of us.wheelchair.gif

We've had over 4 hours of incessant heavy rain this morning, and it's forecast to stay for at least another 20 hours!

Most of the roads are like rivers, with water filled potholes waiting for the unsuspecting motorist, I think the local garages are going to be busy.

This rain is bloody awful. I now live on what was once a working pig farm. It's been neglected for the best part of 20 years and everything is muddy or leaks. Or both. Just walking from the bungalow to the office is miserable!

On the plus side. some of the puddles here now look like they are ready for stocking biggrin.png
