Forum Upgrade - Next Step

Now that we're on a new server, which seems a million times faster than the old dinosaur, we need to upgrade the forum software. The current software is way out of date and unsupported.

Rather than fumble our way through, I've paid the software company to do this. Hopefully, this will be in the next few days and any downtime should be minimal. Hours, rather than days!

I haven't used the new software, or even looked at it. Chances are, it will be different and take some getting used to. We'll have to wait and see.

While all this is going on, I'll also look to upgrade the main article side of the website, too. Then, just maybe, I'll find some time to update and grow the site like I used to. Fingers crossed!

Better late than never Elton, good to have you back.

The new look seems less cluttered, and so far, not too daunting for an old codger like me.

I'll have an explore, and see what I can find.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I haven't had a look around the new software yet. Mike is going to colour it in a bit, hopefully, and we've still got a few maintenance issues to sort. But, fingers crossed, we'll get to grips with it soon enough and start to develop things a bit more.
