Correct Chester’s I couldn’t eat a full one   Not good for you either once saw a Super pod running into 1000s an incredible sight all going full speed where they were heading was anybody’s business .People  pay Hugh amounts of money just for a glimpse yet we take it all for granted minke whales and the odd humpback whales  to come next depending how early the large herring shoals show up .

Chesters1,

Dolphins are high in mercury. Eskimos occasionally take one for the pot. I can't think of one off hand but I'm sure, almost, there are warm blooded creatures have way to many natural pathogens and are thus poisonous.  I made that last bit of chit up but I kind of believe it myself.

Years ago my wife used to work in a wet fish shop. People used to come in having come back from holidays abroad and ask for the local name for Dolphin (cant remember  it now, and shes asleep). When she pointed out it was Dolphin they used to argue and say the local name again. No amount of telling would persuade them, so I just presume its eaten and on the menu in warmer climates.

If all else fails, follow the intructions.

The sad fact is we only appear now to eat dolphin friendly tuna so I guess were eating their mates aswell:mellow:

Its strange humans historically kill anything that competes with us for the same food but dolphins appear to be exempt for some reason, they are no more clever than a cow eat the buggers

We whine about elephants getting killed , (another animal with some special attachment) eat all the buggers problem solved!its a waste just killing them bit by bit for their teeth and discarding the wrapping.Once their extinct nothing to whine about problem gone!

Yup, that's the one. Folk used to come back from foreign holidays asking for Mahi mahi which is Dolphin. It's not available here to the best of my knowledge.

I would insist on the real thing ,basa despite its similarity is not cod anyone selling it as such in both cases should be imprisoned!

I am sure the visibly growing japanese population invading here will make  it profitable and we have plenty of coves to drive them (the dolphs not the japs ,secluded coves mainly atract ribs full of criminals!)into
