Should we have left the EU?

COD,

The worst recession in the recent history of the UK was under the leadership of a chap  named Gordon Brown.

Took eleven quarters for GDP to recover to its pre-recession peak in the Spring of 1990. ... The recession lasted for five quarters and was the deepest UK recession since the Second World War. Manufacturing output declined 7% by end 2008.

Do you believe Johnson will break Brown's record for hard times in the UK?

Gordon browns recession was caused by biggest financial crash since the  Great Depression of 1929 and he had to bail the banks out with many billions of pounds which any government in power would have done exactly the same .

So how do you explain the zero growth no financial crash this government took billions out of the economy with Austerity they  are 100 %  to blame for this country’s weak growth. You see phone the public especially in the north who have just put Johnson in power were  looking for somebody to blame for shops closed on every street people’s wages on there arse  worth  less now in real terms than they were 10 years so along comes brexit all our problems it’s all the EU fault when in reality it is not .The  last 10 years of this conservative government and its Austerity has played it part  and very very soon the people will realise it’s the biggest con job in history they have been had over .

And the TUC have asked boris Johnson for a  meeting he has not yet  replied in other words he about to shaft all the workers rights in this country which he promised he would NOT do before the general election.
But to be fair does  this man care about joe blogs not a chance and those who think he does are dreaming  the penny will drop  very soon .

COD, Cod, cod,

The answer was yes or no. All I did was correct your erroneous claim "today is the worst ever for the UK"

Perhaps now you would like a response to "the biggest con job in history". Do you have any idea how many eons history is?

I like to point out another significant error - - - - The WORKERS RIGHTS  you are up  in arms about are EUROPEAN UNION workers.  The Prime Minister  has chosen to protect British workers rights. Boris Johnson is preparing to dismiss demands by Brussels for the UK to abide by EU rules on tax and workers' rights after Brexit.  After all, the United Kingdom is now a free and sovereign nation watching out for itself.

Not some jumped up political who is an expert talker who fills the public with bare faced lies listen to an expert in his sphere who corrects the  lies  on the fallout of brexit scaremongering  they say ? and the name on the top of this page is ????

So don’t like the truth phone brexit  at any cost wasn’t brexit  about  the U.K. being better off not making  the U.K. worse off .

This great word Sovereignty which you keep using thats you say is associated with brexit now that’s an interesting word which doesn’t pay for doctors and nurses , police officers ,prison officers ,public services etc, etc, etc .

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/opinion/brexit-will-reduce-the-uks-sovereignty/22/08/

There’s no definitive figure for the economic impact of Brexit. The analysis this is based on estimates the UK’s GDP is £130 billion lower in 2019 than it would have been had it followed pre-EU referendum .

Strange flow of thought, somebody who works as a clerk at a Customs Clearance Agent (private firm, no Govt. association.) becomes a ‘customers agent’ (God only knows what that is!) becomes a Customs Officer.

Seen occasions where civilians undertaking roles previously dealt with by ranking Military Officers claim they hold the rank of the previous incumbent in that office, seen that on here, but not seen a job title elevated so quickly.

A case of reading what you wish to see rather than what is written perhaps.

But I agree Phone, there is little point.

The Nissan Motor Company has announced that it will be doubling down on its investments in the United Kingdom, bucking predictions by anti-Brexiteers that the British car industry would crumble after Brexit.
