The vote was in or out ,we are still in, brexit is name only. You know like the word democracy when it isnt !

Two or more types of democracy ,one is voting in people to do as the masses tell them to ,they do not therefore its not democracy

The other is the people do it all ,not easy in the past but now you can have electronic voting you could have a referendum on all major decisions

Why dont we have the second option? 630+ rich powerful people will be out of a job

You could vote in the heads of the ministries and ofcourse kick them out when they **** up which at the moment we cannot. And despite thinking its the government who run the country its actually the ministries  the government make laws and hand out money to the ministries who spend a great deal on crap after its not their money its taxpayers money.

PS the nonsense the nhs dont get any money ,the nhs budget goes up every year stop talking remainer lies

So what happened to your democracy with brexit you voted out and you say we are still ruled by the EU ,so what’s actually happened to your democracy you voted for or is it just democracy in name or is it just democracy when it suits ,funny old thing this democracy Chester’s ?

World war breaking out in the commercial fishing forums with calls of betrayal by Boris Johnson , It’s going to get very dirty this brexit thing  ,

But if you promise a stone of gold then give everybody a stone of lead instead expect to get it in the  neck  .And the Scrutiny of the brexit deal what it really means for British people hasn’t  started  yet .I think if I was Nigel farage I would leave now while you still have time .

The new relationship is expected to lead to a long-run loss of output of around 4% compared to remaining in the European Union, according to the UK Office for Budget Responsibility, which produces economic forecasts for the government. Leaving the EU's single market and customs area means higher costs for UK companies, which could lead to higher consumer prices and even more job losses, as well as reduced export prospects, economists say

All,

In the spirit of his thread - - - cut and paste

The United Kingdom will leave the EU's Common Fisheries Policy on Dec. 31, but under the trade deal agreed on Christmas Eve the current rules will remain largely in place during a 5-1/2-year transition period. After that period, there will be annual consultations to establish the level and conditions for EU access to British waters.

The National Federation of Fishermen's Organizations said the fishing industry had been sacrificed by Johnson. For example, it said, the UK’s share of Celtic Sea haddock will increase to 20% from 10%, leaving 80% in the hands of EU fleets for a further five years. (end quote)

As I read the "current rules" how can anyone's ox be gored. EVERYONE IS A REMAINER FOR 5 YEARS - -RIGHT??

I guess there was NO doubt the UK fishermen were going to scream like stuck pigs??

A stone of lead is better than the stone of total EU control of fishing we had before

The everyday fishermen brexit will make practically zero difference. All along the east coast there is very little whitefish boats they  are all mainly shellfish not whitefish selling there produce to the European Union there livelihoods depend on it .All that hype about fishing was used by Brexshiteers to further their cause it worked perfectly but in the real world  of the fishing industry job blogs won’t benefit its big boys who will benefit by the £100 million extra in grants  and extra  quota to fish out of Scottish waters .You could give them as much quota as you want to boats off the yorkshire coast and they  would go bust in 3 months now why is that you would ask . Those stupid Norwegians who have  some of best fishing in the world  , the know how to look after there fisheries we tend to destroy everything  in sight . And it’s all the EU fault it’s utter rubbish .

Unless something is done about dredging brexit is a complete waste of time for cod and whitefish fisherie to improve around our shores

Who did we vote for?

I would certainly vote to make me poorer if the animals in the EU lost some control
