https://www.ifs.org.uk/publications/14982

Small country ,less than londons population and less gdp without its share of gas its got very little ,that why half the population dont live there ?

Northern ireland has nothing it gets a great deal of money from us,that 2.5billion could buy a lot of moat cleaning

PS if your so concerned saving the tax payer money why not pay full price on your diesel like most other people?

All,

Correct me if I'm wrong (doubtful). The "deal" insures no EXIT. The UK is expected and agree to just sally along like it was 2016 and before.

I have to say, with the overwhelming effort and expenses I have to agree with CHESTERS1. Welcome to the new and streamlined EU.

Welcome to the EU who will use its increased powers to punish us in aid to warn the rest against revolt!

Its madness people have not witnessed the greed of Brussels yet still want to give into them!

Why? I had a vw once it wasnt that good ,ok but not worth crowing about.

The trouble with Germany it tries to be best, fails then goes back to reality for a while or sulks and tries to take other peoples

Only bought that car and two other german things I didn't need to lots of others do the same, car was probably made here so even less.

Why so enamoured with the master race?

The trouble with britain is it invents anything worth inventing and loses it ,sits on its hands watching oppertunity go past and sells anything worth selling ,it even sold parliament to brussels you cannot go any lower it even flooged off most of AWE thats like employing j saville to babysit!

Leeda,

OUCH !!

No way do I believe that!  I CANNOT recall a moment in history the UK was wishy-washy in it's resolve to lead.

The UK remains a major force in international diplomacy, one of the world’s leading military powers, the second highest international development donor, and has a huge global cultural influence.  One in four countries currently has a leader who was educated in the UK.  The UK ranks second on Earth for higher education and for science (only the USA has more top-100 universities or Nobel Laureates, with the University of Oxford coming in top).

There is also the widespread and growing use of English, which remains the global language of business and the internet and is spoken by 25% of the world’s population.

The UK can continue to be a successful and major player, post-Brexit. However, it will need to demonstrate more strongly than ever its commitment TO HOME RULE to internationalism if it is going to be able to continue to earn and grow its position as a global power.

IMO the UK needs to do what it does best. "SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP"

And Britain had the British empire it has nothing now , brexit has made the U.K. weaker and poorer ..

We will need visas to stay in the EU beyond three months. Fifteen thousand British students a year will lose the right to study with no fees in European universities under the Erasmus programme. Britain is out of the European Investment Bank, which lent billions to the depressed parts of the UK; also out of Euratom, Europol and Eurojust. We are out of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, crucial in the fight against climate change and fundamental to the economics of wind farms and new nuclear power stations alike. We are to lose all automatic access to EU databases

The economic cost will be huge. To limit trade to this degree is to put a ball and chain around British business. Worse, the capacity of the British government to turn British regulations into EU regulations and, via the EU’s heft, then global regulations, as it has done so cleverly, for example, over specialist chemicals and mobile phone networks, has disappeared. No British company will be able to follow Vodafone to global pre-eminence. Inward investment, which boomed under EU membership, and which has already fallen by four fifths since the referendum, will remain depressed.

And you can go on and no and on .

Why do they just keep telling lies constantly but always when never  under scrutiny .

Sounds like a cod clone with a dictionary,ah hes copy and pasting again that explains it lol ,who cares if you couldnt do it before we joined whats different we do it how we did before but without EU shackles ,if people want to go to uni abroad they pay to go my neice paid to go to her chinese one why not others ?  If foreigners go to cambridge they should pay to go .

Most will pay nothing if from the uk in home unis so if you want to CHOOSE to go to a foreign one then you pay for that privilage just as anyone would you pay a premium to get what you choose and pay less for what you are given as the norm.

Its like a holiday incase you cannot understand ,you want the best holiday you pay more than you do a week at Butlins. If you want to get good education at a particular high standard uni you should pay more as it will influence how you are treated afterwards ie better money and openings

PS you forget who built the first fast breeder reactor ,wind turbines work 40% of the time and solar never at night!

Solar cells were mostly down to the yanks so nothing to do with the EU (seeing it wasnt even formed then) and we pretty much invented the wind turbine so your EU isnt that high up in the pecking order

It may make turbine blades now but thats because we dont ,that can change once you have one you can make many with investment ,oh no i am sorry the EU dont like our government supporting industry they turn a blind eye to everyone else ofcourse but you know that "level playing field" stops us strange that!

The EU dont help members they restrict them they stop competition and punish government investment they are anti competition incase it harms france or germany

Trouble with remainers they desperately want britain to fail so obviously have an agenda to make it fail ,if they really loved their country they wouldnt keep putting it down at every chance but put their weight behind restructuring it out of the clutches of the EU and its anti competative structure where they dictate the rules ,they make the deals and they impose the punishments for trying to get away from them ,they will simply say told you so after busily undermining  every attempt we make to recover

I will do my bit by not buying EU goods as i have always done and if british food drops to foreign prices buy that ,if it doesnt tough i  will buy my chilean mussels and isrealy fruit until it does and my chinese parcels will still keep the postie in work lol

Lastly if britain is such a shithole why are the foreign companies still here ,why are lidl and aldi expanding ?,why hasnt DHL gone along with their subsideries and competitors from germany ,why are not foreign car plants empty and why do EU residents not leave? Strange when you examine things it turns remain nonsense on its head if no deal was going to be so bad why did they stay ,they obviously didnt believe the remainer lies either

PS SNP says it will vote against the bill ,they prefer no deal aswell it seems

I wouldnt go that far ,our governments for decades have spent money on things it doesnt need spending on and restricted it on things they should be .no huge government run company making ppe yet despite its need but buying it from abroad and chucking it away is the norm because its sub standard!

The government and its subordinates just keeps expanding (i read somewhere the staff running the british part of berlin was 4 times that of the usa bugger knows how big it would be if reunification hadnt occurred ) it loves its paperwork. The first thing a boss does is employ a couple of underlings so they get fired when the boss ****s up ,he keeps his job and employs new underlings and the mess carries on

the basics that should be nationalised isn't because mainly it wasnt much good when it was and things wont change until the law is ,severe punishment for failure should be the norm not a tap on the wrist and a golden hanshake on the way to the lords.

We should be buying at give away prices every lump of steel the chinese are desperate to get rid of and building things  ,making sure our work force has to do the menial tasks for their benefits before bringing in labour ,if they do not the benifits go !

Theres lots of things the government can do but they cannot be bothered ,the same faces will be in parliament whowever bad they get ,they will still get paid and they will still waste tax payers money because its not theirs. They dont give a crap once you sit on those benches your made for life!

We gone from doing things because we can to doing nothing because we cannot be bothered in a very short time ,half of it in the EU strange that!
