Terrorism!!

Recommended Posts

Isn't it about time the act of terrorism & subsequent conviction became a Capital crime?? Or is government in fear of Martyrdom & the repercussions!!

Treason, still (I believe) carries the death sentence, unless it's recently been lifted??

Maybe we should just let the police carry on as they are & shoot to kill as & when & save us all some money!! :busted_cop:

Millions of pounds from the public purse in the courts, then keep them in the nick for even more Millions (& early release) - versus 4 or 5 bullets (till the perpetrator stops kicking) = Job done for about a Fiver's worth of ammo'.

The United Kingdom's Terrorism Act 2000 defined terrorism as follows:

(1) In this Act "terrorism" means the use or threat of action where:

(a) the action falls within subsection (2),
(b) the use or threat is designed to influence the government or to intimidate the public or a section of the public and
(c) the use or threat is made for the purpose of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause.

(2) Action falls within this subsection if it:

(a) involves serious violence against a person,
(b) involves serious damage to property,
(c) endangers a person's life, other than that of the person committing the action,
(d) creates a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public or
(e) is designed seriously to interfere with or seriously to disrupt an electronic system.

The above definition would seem to include the actions of groups like Extinction Rebellion and while I'm all for ridding the world of Emma Thompson, stringing her up seems a bit harsh.

It's (a).

Point is that the definition of terrorism is broad.

Not that it matters as I'm against capital punishment - although I'm perfectly happy to see potential suicide bombers shot dead like the rabid dogs they are.

One persons terrorisms is another persons freedom fighter .

We appear to like them we let all the irish ones out!

Terrorism works ,isreal exists because of it, NI is run by them and america isnt run by us because of it

Just the possibilty of it gives foreigners in this country apprently more rights than every one else!

And those that decry it are generally the biggest offenders

I am against the death sentence because it to easy to fool amateur jurors by profesional lawyers and at the moment we cannot bring a dead person back to life once its found the evidence is false or wrongly understood

As to career criminals if they dont learn by the time they are twenty no-one will give a crap if they end up in a shallow grave in the woods in fact it should be encouraged

Tony Martin was stitched up did the procecusion prove he could see which way the dead burgler was facing?

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Absolutely not!  They don't always get it right.

You ignored my response the last time I mentioned this name, but I'll say it again now:- Jean Charles de Menezes.
