We have a shuttle service but you have to book it in advance i dont know what i will be doing in an hours time nevermind tomorrow so its no good to me

we also have a volenteer car and driver in the village but i feel i am stopping a needy person using it so dont bother ,plus your very close to a stranger who doesnt know themselves if they are infected so a liability at the moment.

We only used to go out one day a week anyway so not missing anything ,and i have just taken a nice spelt loaf out of the breadmaker so dont need anything anyway.

Like everywhere countries are full of nice people but it tends to be the arseholes that get seen!

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

CHESTERS1,

I absolutely agree with all in your post. Even if you do ask for a lift they say OK and give you a two hour window when you might get picked up. It initially  began with the driver having a bottle of high quality hospital sanitizer. As a gesture of gratitude our patrons "forgot" to leave it with the driver. I guess age doesn't matter, once a thief always a thief.

All

I have an announcement. I'm as full of shite as a christmas goose. The store is a division of Walmart (SAMS).  I had the days wrong - Tuesday and Thursday. Got that straightened out and showed up bright eyed and bushy tail at 06:50. Waited 10 minutes in a cold rain and they opened the door.  No one cared if I was 8 or 80, since I was upright my temperature was fine and in a herding manor social distancing meant only a light tap was permissible. Total BS. I had driven by a few times and assumed the telly news was accurate. - NOPE While leaving with a few odd bits I noticed people backed up at the entrance. Nosey by nature I checked it out.  The building capacity by code is 300 and was being enforced.  Only 8-am and old people huddled together within inches of one another in a light rain waiting to get inside. Did I mention it was total BS

Words fail you ,hopefully words dont fail everyone and it back fires! 6.50 we are just (if it was normality) eating breakfast 7.30 set off for the 8.15 bus that arrives at 8.30 we get to town at 8.45 if hes late ontime ,if hes just late late he may not even turn up .

By the time i walk across to the shop its 9am and the elderly slot probably gone, living in the sticks has drawback s but its further to stumble for town zombies if the virus mutates into something more stumbly
