Icast 2020

ALL,

Just got the word Icast this year was a bummer. Not because of the super innovative products but because Covid-19 put a wet rag over everything. Who would buy a $400 rod without being able to touch it first.

Nevertheless it's fun to google "Icast2020" and poke around. It seems to me line has received yet another boost in both technology and price. I cut and pasted this one as an example;

Chesters, daiwa sensor is brown, comes in bulk spools and they can be bought and deliverd from ebay sellers for less than a tenner.

That's pretty much all i've used for years now.

Funny though, it looks brown on the spool, but when you shine a torch on it or the sun shines on it on my reel it looks green ?

I doubt mine is daiwa besides being brown its cheap lol

I think it was 800 yards or so bulk spool ? Probably woolworths or some long extinct name ,i lost about a yard of line the other day scuffing it on a bit of concrete hidden on the bank so once i am down to about half way down on the spool of my reel,i will climb up into the loft and look for it in my tackle box

Ok Chesters, when your spool runs check sensor out, I think theres about 2 miles of sensor on a spool of 6lb!

The lower diameter you go the more line and the higher the diameter you go the less line you get, you still get loads though, and for a tenner I think it's great.

As I said, I use it all the time, mainly in 6lb but also 4, 8 and 10lb .

I get slated for using it on another forum and they rave about pro gold mono amongst other more expensive lines.

I'll stick with sensor as I know it's excellent stuff.
