This is the reason there should be no death penalty.

What evs.

That is the type of thing that teenagers say.

If you had a rational argument to make you would have made it by now.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Maybe I should leave this conversation & go back to the fishing stuff - for which this site was originally intended.

CORY,

Glad you found a player.  In the US since 1975 - 69 innocent people have been released.  A hundred fold that number have been released only to murder again. Legal VENGEANCE  retaliation through death is an end point. There will always be and has been collateral damage.

If you are in the explaining mood explain the difference between a nation state declaring war and a nation state making a law that rape is an executable offence against society.

We, humans are not real kind to each other - it is real easy to justify killing a horse thief

no - I'm not going to play

You are sick. If some mother's son is excecuted for a crime he did not commit that is just fine by you? You are sick. Morally bankrupt.

Cory,

You do not seem able to view the inevitable constitution of human nature. We do not, never did, elevate morality to the dignity of a first principle and that morality differs in different societies.

When you’re having a nip or two you always address what you think is “morally good”.  YOU'VE  always preferred to to tell us, "what is morally good," rather than "what  is habitual,". But historically the two phrases are synonymous. MORALS ARE HABITS

Capital punishment has never been shown to be a deterrent to others either.

The arab punishment of removing  a hand ensures pick pockets retire or get clever after the second conviction .

As to the final solution if the evidence is irrefutable or the perpetrator admits it i have no problem killing them ,infact some repeat scum who do not see the errors of their ways should be stoned by those they offend

  • Thanks 2

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle
