So what is the point of owning your home??

You'll almost certainly have to sell it to pay for your care home bills AND quite likely be sat in the Same Care Home Lounge next to a guy (smelling of P*ss) who's never struck a bat for 40 years, apart from playing Snooker every lunch time in his Working?? Men's Club!!

For the most part home ownership is an expression of self. How you stack up against others is a major part of self worth. A man with a castle (like others) is important to who you think you are. The lout next to you could have had a lifelong negative feeling about himself. How society cares for him and those like him is as important to feeling good as having your own house.
