How you doing now then Ken?

Not too bad.

At day six, it shifted from being very much like a cold to being a bit more flu-like, with a bit of a fever, that delightful "I've been beaten like Rodney King" feeling and a little chest pain.

I had a couple of nights with no sleep at all, and I've got no energy or stamina, but it seems to be slowly turning the corner now.

This seems to be pretty much the typical presentation from what most of the people that I know who have had it have reported. I know a couple who have had more severe chest problems and obviously, a small group of people (mostly already vulnerable people) are having very, very severe difficulties with this bug.

You really don't want it, but equally, there's no need to overly panic if you test positive.

I for one am sitting tearful squinting after cutting up an onion,

Next time, run cold tap water over the onion for a few seconds before cutting it.

It's not a waste if it prevents your suffering. No water meter here yet.

There is a leak out in the road, it's been running for over two weeks, twice now there's been a few vans crowded around the site, but no fix yet. The first time the vans were there the largest one was parked right on top of the leak - I wonder if they had trouble finding it.?

I cancelled my doctors appointment and blood and flu jab for tomorrow ,its madness going to a town then a hospital full of sick people then a week later potentialy die alone in a dark room drowning on your own lung juice.

I dont take chances ! I rarely do so i sent a pdf of my weeks blood pressure tests and a picture of a wee sample stick showing nothing unusual, if they want my blood they can get it in my garden not a surgery with recirculating  air! (You can tell by the air vents!)

I have said for decades there should be two types of hospitals one for broken people one for sick people ,if you went to either of my nearest for a broken leg heaven knows what you will come out with!
