Australia is in full lockdown with the police and military on the streets, and doing house to house checks.

Sky News Australia has been suspended from YouTube.

And what is the crisis that has precipitated this unparalleled crackdown?

Australia has seen a total of just 922 deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test out of a population of 25,788,215.

That's just 36 Covid deaths per million of population.

The UK has seen 1,889 Covid deaths per million of population.

The US has seen 1,899 Covid deaths per million of population.

Peru has seen 5,867 Covid deaths per million of population.

This unprecedented restriction of basic freedoms clearly has nothing to do with public health. What the hell is happening?

It does seem to mainly be NSW and Vic - as well as the state borders. Complete overkill for a disease that less than 4 out of every 100,000 Australians have died with, and a lot less than that ha

As for the rest my brother in Perth hasn't mentioned the military being in the street or doing house to house checks there, don't know about the rest of Aus though.

 

just googled and it appears they're using the military in Sydney no mention of the rest of Australia so hardly the whole of Aus in full lockdown.

Nowt here, in North Queensland. About 5 months ago, had to wear a mask at the local supermarket, but that only lasted 1 week...
