I bought some tomato feed from amazon .It was a concentrate that turns into 750 litres once diluted.

What arrived was 2 x 5ltrs of pre made feed ,It means >99% is just water .

Who on earth would use it? my watering can is 7 ltrs so i would be using a tenners worth of feed on perhaps two plants can this country get more crazy !

I can see the use of pre mixed say windscreen wash if you need a quick fill out in the wild but who doesnt have water in a garden ?

Complained to Amazon it was not what i ordered and as it was to heavy (i recieved 2 ,i ordered one) to take to town on a bus and they said keep it ,not much to crow about though just 4 plants will laugh.

On the other hand i also bought this ,boy theres some clever designers about .I spend ages trying to tie knots on ties or fiddling with tie wraps pinning canes into frames for my toms to play in ,no more!

Yes they are the original version ,i just use the cheap granules in 1 ltr tubs aswell as a sprinkle of water retension crystals.

I had problems over the years with blossom emd rot on one particular but very tasty tomato so i started using a expensive feed including calcium which countered it to a certain aspect but its stupidly expensive so this year i added a tablespoon of garden lime to each bucket (i grow my toms in builders buckets which sit in gravel trays full of water to stop splitting ) hopefully back to basics will be ok .

Hopefully this year will be better than last and i can curse the sun vs the rain

Not got any living potted houseplants my mrs easily kills spider planst and those chip shop succulants so anything else has no chance

The ability to kill spider plants, jade plants and Christmas cactus is a rare skill. Have you tried an aspidistra?

I ordered those slow release clusters for my big houseplants like palms, and they seem to be doing okay on them.

I recon an aspidistra would be easy eith death by dryness or bog .Unlike myself she has no regime so things suffer .A goldfishes memory (actually they have ok memories) due to her epilepsy don't help .I program most important things by Alexa (my memory is fading fast) the day before but she just forgets lol

Love Alexa we have Alexa enabled stuff in every room and two sheds if something pops in my head i tell it to remind me because i know by experience going to write it down will be forgotten in seconds .Its also great on calenders it will tell me at set times before an event ,a week before so great for sending cards and the day before etc it will also keep reminding you every hour until you tell it to stop ,great for when something crops up and you forget after it reminds you at x time

Not only am i a serial collector i am a serial planner ,sad chesters1 dont ask how long i research stuff before buying it

That reminds me i got some date palms from seed last year ,no sign of them i guess they died under her care i had forgotten about them i grew several

Got a couple of palms in the house, and I'm looking for a Kentia palm.

Trouble is that they're expensive as hell and seeds aren't available.

Hi Dave, you can get Expanding Bands from Aldi/Lidl which do just that as the Stems grow thicker. You get Loads in a pack for a couple of Quid. I watch, "Weekend Shed Head" channel on YT.

The ones supplied (20 rolls so will see me out) seem ok ,they should break if the stems get to thick and by then the plants branches will be supporting the main stem on the cross canes .I start with a 4 pole pyramid then join all 8 plants together lenghtwise then front to back .This lets me put hooks on each fruiting stem supporting the weight from the cross cane above

Seen this shed guy hes a little overenthusiastic for my taste but his shed is better than mine i cannot see my bench i have more stuff that can fit ,you move something and theres no where to put it down again .

Lidl stuff is ok and fairly priced but its a grocers not a tool merchants so have little idea what they actually sell customer service is a joke they didnt even know their rechargeable 9v batteries were actuallly 7.2v and in a machine that thinks 8.5v batteries are dead disapointing

Another time a glue gun was advertised as working unplugged with a internal battery .It didnt so i told them and they insisted it did so i stripped it down and sent them a picture of the thing and told them to point out the battery .All went quiet so i did it 3 times their response was " misunderstanding the makers instructions translation" and i can return it ,no recal, no change of the advertising ,no appologies for lying to the world
