Just bought one of these ,be very careful if you use them I used this one

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DD3HGGTF?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1

And it works as it should but foolishly I was wearing a long sleeve T shirt and as it fired I felt a sting like pain in my forearm (not the one with the toy but another one I have that was holding the bracket I was nailing) I seemed to have been hit by shrapnel from the nail ?

Two tiny marks which then proceeded to bleed prefusedly due to being on blood thinners so much so I had to get a cold drink from the fridge whilst my Mrs applied plasters .

They work ok I blew out a couple of bricks probably because I had it full force (you have to unscrew a screw or two so some of the blast doesn't hit the nail end and vents sideways)

Not to sure how long before they get banned there's no safety device and after buying I spotted an YouTube vid of one being used to despatch a water buffalo so non DiY uses have been found .I bought more bolts (they are very useful) just incase the government banned them and they became impossible to get .There is mention of "silencer" in the instructions a bit of a laugh they are so noisy I thought firearms police would be knocking my door down they are a gun after all and sound like one.

Not sure what two of the things are in the spares box do they appear to be threaded and fit the end but as we know Chinese instructions are sparse if indeed included and are usually in Chinglish which doesn't help ,"gears" means settings in both this and 18650 battery welders 🥴 In this case 5 gears means all the little screws are left in place and it's full power ,5 screws = 5 gears🤣

Just occured to me I saw the Lock picking lawyer use a similar device to open padlocks he called it a ramset whether it's the same thing I don't know

Edit not exactly the same the ramset uses a .22 cartridge to shoot the nail this one has the charge attached to the nail itself so cannot be used in the way he did

I used it yesterday to refix an armoured cable to my wall ,the original plastic fixings were getting cracks .You can get single hole clamps and position the nail in the center of the brick I think using the two hole versions would split the brick .

Boy it's loud lol

I went ahead and bought one, found one on Amazon for £14.99. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DHY12DWX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I found a pack of 100 of the ammunition, err I mean nails, on ebay for £6.69. Couldn't see them any cheaper and couldn't find any other type of the fixings they show in the videos???

Strange that they sell the tool on Temu, but they don't seem to sell replacement nails.

I noticed that on temu  otherwise I would've bought from there .I wanted the bolts and they are twice the price of the nails so I bought the Amazon one because it came with both and far easier to return if the bolts weren't what I expected .

The nails could be longer and perhaps barbed to hold in tighter but for the price even from Amazon worth the gamble .The same as you now I have used it for the cable and 5 bolts where it will be used again I don't know but that's the same with most speciality tools they do a job then sit and wait for the next one ......perhaps fitting the lid to my coffin who knows

I highly recommend using face covering at least going by the two marks in my arm had that been my eyes I wouldn't be typing now so my eye protection was first on doing the second job followed by my welding jacket which is heavyweight material just in case both ear plugs and glasses were provided in the box but of low quality but it's fricking sleeves they left out lol

As for Temu not that much cheaper than the cheapest on Amazon and no next day so not so much incentive .the white or Rather non coloured nails are much louder than the ones that came with my tool ,I took bought the cheapest on Amazon lol

The stainless pipe clips with nail are out there but I just bought 10 stainless single hole clips Rather than the pukka versions .I do recommend the bolts I bought the same nails as you when I bought the err gun but waited to see how the bolts held up and ordered them once I tried them ,twice the price but twice as useful

PS I stored the bangy bits in a airtight plastic box with a 50g moisture absorber in it to make sure if I needed it again the chances of it working was there in the future for when the zombie apocalypse happened but fettling would be needed if they weren't 10 seconds apart

About the same as Amazon on the standard nails and no next day . Technically as an explosive an over zelouse border force guy sick of bowing to immigrants and waving them in could just bin them in customs or worse send the squad round to investigate incase you have faarrr right leanings and you are nailing those Faarrr right symbols the St George flag to your soffits as a sign of rebellion

A warning about my warning the nails are naff they (as I mentioned earlier) should be barbed ,I just hung a hanging basket on a hanger where I nailed the top hole and screwed the bottom (the hanger is in a difficult place as you have to bend dangerously forward over a large storage box we have that cannot support 'big boned' chesters1 so your on a stool reaching the post top hence using the nail to get it in position in the first place  )

It's not one of my 45cm baskets just a little diddy one ,the nail popped out as soon as it took the weight luckily the lower screw held it up until I could take the basket off  . Will have to rethink the hanger and definitely use the nails in more suited areas that don't have any weight applied to them in future

As Ant mentioned earlier the "uses" of this are slowly diminishing they are noisy so nailing your baby to the wall to stop it walking wakes it up ,you would blow apart any thin wood unless you wasted lots setting the "gears" 🤣 to short for construction work, to long to pin a note to your fridge .No doubt it will get used ...one day

PS the armoured cable is still in place ,know where you can buy reddish black filler to hide the split bricks on the blown one
