AVATARS

Recommended Posts

Today I changed my avatar. When I look at the forum using IE, I see the new one. When I view it using Firefox I see a distorted version of the original. My forum settings in My Controls show only the new one! Which one are you guys seeing?

It was recommended that I use Firefox in preference to Explorer when I bought my new PC, but I'm having so many problems that it just doesn't seem worth it and it's driving me up the wall! I can't post anything on here other than just plain text. If I want to add any formatting, change font size/colour or add links or pictures, I have to access the site using IE.

Is it just me being dim, or are there settings that I need to change to get back the functionality that I used to have with IE?

Not sure about the Firefox problems Janet, it all works fine for me.

your current avatar for me is this one, (although it's been stretched a bit as your avatar and looks a bit more normal here).

Janet, try it with another avatar from the list. If no good I would resize your original, offer it up and try again.

I've tried everything I can think of! I've deleted all cookies, internet history and the original picture.

I've logged off and then on again, and I now seem to have the new avatar on both IE and Firefox. Hope you are now seeing the new one, and not that distorted one.

Is it only me who has problems using Firefox? It came highly recommended, but it's causing me no end of problems with posting anything on AN or my canal forum.
