looks like you have a great weight on your mind Janet ,in firefox

Elton, thanks for that. It seems to have done the trick.

 

Now, what buttons to I press to get Firefox sorted, apart from the ones that enable me to remove the heap of junk altogether?

 

I can't quote another post, use any formatting, add links or pictures or basically do anything without switching to IE, and it's really becoming a bit of a pain! I've found one or two support websites, but none that really answer my questions about posting on forums such as this. If anyone knows where I could find the information, I'd be very grateful!

Have you got the *No scripts* add-on installed in Firefox?

 

If you have it could be what's causing the problems. (You would have had to install it, it doesn't come ready installed).

 

Does your reply box (on AN) show the appropriate buttons and they just don't work or what?

I was going to say "no", the buttons weren't there, because they weren't there about an hour ago when I last posted with my problems, but now, as I reply to your post, for some strange reason, they are there and they appear to be working, although I haven't changed a damn thing nor adjusted any settings! I did fiddle around with a few settings late last night, and maybe accidentally, I have solved the problem? Very strange though, as they weren't there an hour ago and I haven't made any changes since I posted about my problem.

 

I do seem to have strange things happening at the moment! I think perhaps I have gremlins....

i had this awhile back just the same on IE7 .the way i fixed it was to upload the avatar image to photo-bucket and use the direct link to the image

worked for me

If you *right click* on the screen when AN is open and select *allow AnglersNet* from the NoScript menu I think it should solve your post writing problem.

Janet, what you have to do is this. Press TAB and F8 together whilst singing (YOUR) best rendition of Ave Maria and stood with one foot (Again your choice) in a bowl of porridge. Hot or cold again your choice.

 

OR get rid of Firefox!! Although I am an AVID user there will ALWAYS be one person for whom it does not work! ME? It is I.E. in anyway shape or form I dislike!! But I am a male and you are undoubtedly FEMALE! (well I hope you are as I have always thought of you as the fairer sex!! LOL)
