BC's a bit busy at the mo, but hes sent me some pics of the fishing over the past week and asked me to post them up. As always I am happy to help.

All the fish were caught on shads over the past 3 days and included 2 ling over 20 pound and several double figure cod to 18 pounds.

We were using 4" storm shads the lads are using them more and more but the pirks have also fished quite well, being using the 20-50lb maximus rod great sport shading with that rod very light bends like mad you really know when you get a double figure cod on would recomend them to any body.

Probably Whitby's most consistent charterboat

I had a bend of one in my local shop at the weekend, they are very bendy for their line class. I prefer a longer rod for pirking, not only to impart more action to the pirk, but to get your pirk up a bit higher when you drop it onto the wrecks accidentally.
