What a great fish, well done to that man. To catch and land such a fish from the shore should get all the positive press it deserves. As for scales, used digital scales for years on trawlers when doing fish at sea never had a problem with batteries when the fish was re weighed on the fish quay. First time I have heard of it. Mind you it wasn’t so long ago that a certain angler who caught a 32lb cod was questioned about its Waite because he had not weighed it at the proper place using the proper scales.
