South Wales BA?

Not an expert on mullet, not even a novice if truth be told, (going to try and rectify that next season) but I'm pretty sure they can be seen here in Christchurch Hants once the weather starts to warm up a bit in the late spring.

All you need to know about mullet here:

http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/authors/leon22.htm

Mullet start to feed once the water temperature goes over about 10c (In the South-west and off the coast of Scotland, near to power station outfalls, where the water stays warm, they feed all year round).

Here in the Medway, fish do get taken in April, when they go on a feeding spell, but then they stop again, maybe for 2-3 weeks.

As the season progresses, they begin to feed more progressively.

It's usually around mid-June that they start to feed consistently.

Of course mullet are coarse fish. Didn't you read Jim Gibbinson's recent article in Coarse Fishing Today?
