too say i'm dissapointed is a understatement ,the budget must of been real positive (not from where i was sitting) as you wouldn't guess there was a credit crunch going on ,recession what recession ,i'll be sticking to my e-bay reels .cheaper to buy a real adcock pin and then get it engraved & anodized in the colour of your choice .

At those prices he is having a laugh!!

There is a hell of a lot of very good reels out there for a lot less money from Okuma , Youngs and others he must be joking!!!!

Hmmm that's a shame. Top of the range (in finish only) will cost £360 whereas a Lythe costs £425 at the moment, if I was in that market I'd pay the extra £65.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Those prices really are over the top and if they don't drop them by at least a third they'll be stopping production before they start. The reels look nice but not that nice, I'd prefer to buy a youngs spoked reel which are much nicer to look at and CHEAPER! As others have said there are plenty other reels out there just as good or better for less cost.

I couldn't see a four inch version either.

When you can get an Okuma aventa pro for less than a ton it doesn't offer great value from a fishing point of view.

I thought the neoprene on/off rod reel case was good at £9.99 though.

I think the Okuma comes with one for free mine did.

If the "Reduced 96%" text above the photo referred to the reel instead of the photo I would buy one immediately meanwhile Ill stick to the okuma sheffield which the missus is buying me for xmas :)

I agree entirely - I'm teetering on the edge of ordering one myself (a Chris Lythe, that is). And what, in this instance, does 'handmade' mean exactly!?
