Abbotsbury At Its BEST

 It's 2 months out of date, January's SAN is now out. When I was asked for permission to use our reports I agreed because I thought it would keep anglers that didn't receive the SAN up to date, hardly up to date if it's Novembers reports being shown and it makes the SAN look bad. One not very happy bunny.

Well you can't have December's report yet, can you?

:D Yes we can, it's in the January edition. Reports are to give an Idea of what has been caught and what is being caught. Decembers report will be far more up to date than Novembers which will only tell you what has been caught, not what is being caught. :D

Ok guys am going fishing on Friday daytime to early evening weather permitting, whats about on Chesil at the moment, ... would like something for the pot! A silly question maybee but any mackeral still about? (Ive caught them in Feb before but not sure if they were early or late!) Otherwise its East Devon (staying at Beer for the weekend).

There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot!

Go to the Portland end and walk west until you drop! You'll be casting into twice the depth of water you find at Abbotsbury. No need to go quite as far as the Bridging camp. If you look along the beach, you will see one or two little 'points' stuck out. That was always a favourite place. I think it's where the down-channel ebb current sweeps back inshore after having it's flow interupted by Portland. It's about a half hour walk but worth it.

Looks like Thursday might me more friendly!
