Tracey Jones informs us that Etang de Brigueuil is on fine format the moment. Two French visitors have just had a cracking week on the Chalet Swim; they pulled out 570lbs of fish between them, averaging 22lb per catch, the star of the catch being the Catfish, finally putting in an appearance after 2 years, weighing in at a little over 43lb.
The largest carp they landed was a nice mirror of the same weight (43lb), followed by another at 38lb and a lovely common at 24lb. So the list included 11 in the high 20’s, 2 over 30’s and a stunning 40!
The same week also saw a 45.5lb mirror banked from another swim, with the captor also taking a lovely mirror of 36lb. So despite serious rain over the last few days the spirits are still running high at Etang de Brigueuil as the fish continue to come to the bank.
