Abu Garcia Wychavon Championship Qualifier – Sunday August 8th, 2010 – Warwickshire Avon – Evesham Town Waters and Hampton Ferry – 67 pegs

The decision to allow bloodworm and joker proved to be a good one as some good weights were recorded all along the gin clear match length and it proved to be the best Sunday match of the series so far.

A peg to peg battle between Cameron Hughes (Kamasan Starlets) and Leigh Gardner (Shakespeare) at Pegs 6 and 7 saw the former come out on top from Peg 7 with 11-8-0 of bloodworm caught roach. Upstream at Peg 6 Leigh had an almost identical bag for 11-2-0.

Third spot went to Daiwa Dorking team man Simon Willsmore with 9-14-0 of roach from Peg 1, ahead of Sean Ashby (Kamasan Starlets) with 9-11-0 of roach from Peg 77 and Rob Middleton (Shakespeare) with 7-9-0 of roach from Peg 45.

Qualifiers: Cameron Hughes, Martin Green, Alan Stephens
