General
Excellent catch rates this week on all baits with best hook baits proving to be 10mm banded angel pellets over angel feed pellets for good sized carp. Paste still working at these water temperatures just soak angel feed pellets and mould into a firm paste put in fridge overnight and when using mould angel micro pellets around the outside as a conker. Alternatively try soaking angel pellets to a sloppy mix (instead of using ground bait) and add maggot and caster or chopped worm or even hemp to use a cage feeder and try worm and caster on the hook.  Mussel and prawn on the hook work well especially for tench, also try cubed or punched meat on the hook.

Lookout
Cracking catch rates of silvers in high numbers and good sized fish are being caught, Freddy Wilson from Durham caught over 200 fish in a day session comprising  over 100 skimmers, tench, rudd, roach, carp, golden orfe, also perch all on pole tight in margins or at 6 metres out on pellet, mussel, and worm feeding angel pellets and hemp.

Bowes
Producing great catch rates with average stocked carp now in the  4lb to 5lb bracket and home bred starting from about 3/4lb upwards, our specimen stocked carp are also putting good weights on. Carp are doing a lot of marginal feeding now seeds are dropping off grasses and reeds and insects breeding in the marginal reeds, great slurping sucking sounds resonating around the margins on all lakes from the carp feeding, its also great to sit and watch the carp at your feet feeding. Pleasure anglers in half day sessions can catch over 150 carp especially if set up for bomb to the island margins, or waggler and pole in the margins by the fishing peg. Getting the feed at little but very often to constant drip feeding gets the best catch rates as the fish are at there hungriest in the year with warm water temperatures.

Bassetts
Stunning catches with good sized silvers being caught ie rudd best 2lb 4oz average 1lb 6oz,  Young Nathan Anderson aged 8 from Consett,  fishing a Angling Taster session on Friday  caught a 10lb 4oz common carp as his first fish he ever caught, he now want to go on to a full set of coaching sessions! How many people can say their first fish was 10lb 4oz???
