General

After a week of frosts and even some hailstones and a drop in water temperature, which now is thankfully behind us, with promisis of 20 degs this week ahead (at last),  the fishing has actually been very good, loads of quality silvers, tench, carp, all feeding getting ready for spawning.

We go into summer with new times for mid week matches Wed now 5 pm draw, Friday 1pm draw,

And some good carp now being caught, Graham Fawcett from Pelton had a 18lb 8 common and a 19lb 4oz mirror both on chopped worm, as well as many carp under this.weight.

Bassetts

Some stunning catches have come of this pond, Norman Eaden on his half day visit  caught 107 fish 102 being carp  he could not get through carp to target silvers. Norman caught all his fish on garlic flavoured pellet and fed pellet. Tight in the margins. Pellet, maggot, chopped worm and punched luncheon meat all catching well.

Bowes

Some good carp now being caught both up to 5lb in numbers as well as some specimin ones, silvers also in good sizes being caught, Big Bream being caught on chopped worm and caster cocktails, Graham Fawcett from Pelton had a 18lb 8 common and a 19lb 4oz mirror both on chopped worm, as well as many carp under this.weight. hook baits worm, caster, punched luncheon meat, maggot, pellet  paste and conker werking well, and warmer water temperatures look like for the week at last.

Lookout

Massive numbers of silvers being caught all through the day and night, as well as carp tench, crucians all in good numbers, dusk and dawn still superb for all fishing but especially for carp.
