Fishery report by Marlene Mc Laughlin – 30th January, 2011

Anglers came out in fine numbers to Cashel this weekend now that there is a spring feel in the air and a less threat of ice and snow.

Limavady’s Liam Mullan and George Ness released six and seven trout respectively using minkies and blobs.  Dungiven’s Mark Boyce released two trout which fell to buzzers while young Andrew Logan also from Dungiven released one which took an olive nymph.  Local anglers, Martin Bradley and John Hasson released eight trout between them which fell to minkies and the black fritz.  Allan Mc Clune (Magherafelt) released three great trout which took the white fritz.

Well done to all!

River Licences are on sale at Cashel Trout Fishery.

We are now taking group bookings for any angling club or corporate groups interested in a fun day.  Catering facilities are available in the adjacent Cashel Fishing Lodge.
