Weekly report by Marlene Mc Laughlin

Despite the poor weather conditions, anglers were not deterred from giving Cashel a throw.

Dungiven’s Andrew Logan released seven trout over two days and bagged two for home which weighed 7lb 10ozs and 2lb 5ozs which fell to pheasant tail nymph and lime hare’s ear.  He also had a big one of around 7lb which managed to get away.  Young Adam Semple and friend of Andrew’s from Limavady had an enjoyable day although he didn’t get any trout to the bank.  Dungiven’s Martin Bradley, John Hasson and Kevin Mc Callion released a total of six trout between them but unfortunately four more got away.  These anglers were using green fritz and black fritz flies to make their catches.
