Main LakeFishing has been excellent over the last week with bags of Bream and Tench to over 55lb. Best bag of the week was Mick Davies of Melton who landed 57lb of Bream on the pellet method from in front of the clubhouse. Carl Morrison of Nottingham also fished the method to land 45lb of Bream & Tench from peg 1. Sean Stokes of Derby fished in front of the clubhouse and landed 36lb of Bream this time on the groundbait feeder and dead maggot.

Carp fishing has been good with Carp showing all over the lake. Biggest fish of the week was a 24lb Common landed by Gary Travvers of Leicester from peg 52, Gary fished Mainline Cell boilies over a bed of pellet to a bar at around 40 yards range.

Mark Hopkins of Leicester landed a 19lb 4oz Common (Pictured) from Peg 1, Mark fished a piece of peperami over a bed of particles to land his first fish from the venue.

On the predator front there are lots of pike to 20lb coming to lures and Zander to 11lb coming to small roach deadbaits.

Boys Pit
There has been some cracking catches of Tench this week with the biggest being a cracking fish of 7lb landed by Mark Hollywell of Lincoln, Mark fished close to a lily bed on the waggler to land his new personal best Tench, Mark also landed 7 other Tench to 5lb. Simon Adams of Leicester also got amongst a few Tench with 9 fish to 5lb and 2 bonus Bream all coming to pole fished maggot and caster.

Open Match
This Sunday (1st July, 2012) we will be holding one of our ever popular open matches. The draw will take place in the clubhouse at 0830 and fishing will be from 0930 – 1430. The cost will be £15.00 payable on the day, places must be booked in advance by calling fishery manager Chay Jackson on 07791104984 or by calling in at the onsite tackle shop.
