Garbolino Lindholme Lakes, Daiwa Hallcroft Fishery and Hayfield Lakes will be hosts to a NEW exciting Commercial Team Stillwater Championship on Saturday 17th August 2013.

The Angling Trust have extended the deadline for entries to Friday 19th July 2013 and places are still available for teams of 10 anglers to take part.

This competition has a prize fund of £2,500 that has been put up for the winning team from sponsors Garbolino and Lindholme Lakes, who are supporting this new competition.

Garbolino Lindholme LakesThe event is open to any team that is affiliated to the Angling Trust at a cost of £190 per team of 10 anglers, with optional pools available, and each squad member must have individual membership of the Angling Trust.

Entry forms and further details are available on the Angling Trust website at www.anglingtrust.net, or contact the Competitions department of the Angling Trust on 0115 9061 301/307.

This competition has been created to support the need for teams who wish to fish on commercial venues, and is open to any teams already taking part in the Division 1 and Division 2 senior National Championships, but also to brand new teams who want to join the Angling Trust and fish more team competitions on an annual basis.

Teams will be told which anglers have drawn which fisheries before the event, but the draw for sections and pegs will be on the morning of the match, and the Championship winners will be decided on total team weight.

Sandra Drew, competitions and events manager of the Angling Trust stated, “This is an exciting NEW competition this year, and we decided to create this competition to support the needs of anglers who want to put team fishing on commercial venues.  As this competition is split over three venues there will be a range of tactics needed to do well.”

“It is good to see some teams taking part who already support and take part in the Division 1 and Division 2 Senior National Championships that are held on natural venues, but also some brand new teams are joining the Angling Trust especially to fish this competition, which I hope goes from strength to strength for many years to come.”

The Angling Trust would like to offer their appreciation and thanks to Garbolino and Lindholme Lakes who are sponsoring this event and generously putting up the prize money for the winning team of £2,500.
