A record 27,000 families, day-trippers and waterways enthusiasts visited last year’s show. Organised by British Waterways South East, this fantastic family event has something for everyone, whether you’re into boating or not. The 2006 show theme is “Be Adventurous!”, with a range of great activities lined up to get kids and adults alike exploring the great outdoors, including a mobile climbing and abseiling wall, fly-casting demonstrations, a Supershot Shooting Simulator, bell boating and lots more! Back by popular demand in 2006 will be another incredible aerobatic display, this year by Captain Neville’s Flying Circus, as well as fabulous ferret racing, craft demonstrations and a full programme of fascinating presentations.

If you’re a shopaholic, over 250 exhibitors will be selling a lot more than just boating equipment, including arts and crafts and a delicious selection of fresh, organic and local produce in the show’s Farmers’ Market – new for 2006! Whether you like 80’s pop or 70’s glam rock, music lovers will also have plenty to keep them entertained at the annual Music@Crick festival, which takes place alongside Crick Boat Show. U-rhythmix, the UK’s No. 1 tribute band to the music of The Eurythmics will be headlining on Saturday night, and the ultimate glam rock band, The Platforms, will be performing on Sunday.       
 
And if it’s more laid-back entertainment you’re after, jump onboard and explore the boats, take a free boat trip along the tranquil waters of the canal, or chill out as you sample one of more than 30 different ales at the show’s popular real ale bar.
