Dragon Carp Direct is set to unveil its first permanent discount clearance centre – with incredible savings on big brand tackle.
The new store opens its doors this Saturday (March 15th, 2014) in Tamworth, Staffs, and will carry the biggest selection of bargain match and carp gear, end of line items and clearance stock of anywhere in the country.
Unlike the recent, more glossy Dragon Carpstore openings in shopping malls and out-of-town superstores, this shop will be of the stack-it-high- and-sell-it-cheap variety with no frills, just amazingly low prices.
Top name bait and groundbait will start at £1 a bag, Kamasan hooks from 50p a packet, bite alarms from £3, float rods from £5, carp rods at £8, landing nets at £2, match reels at a fiver, freespool reels at?a fiver, and lots of special opening weekend-only deals.

The man behind the new store, Dragon Carp Direct MD Roger Surgay, said: “This is a proper Roger Surgay shop, with no fancy shop fittings and fancy rackings, just mountains of products that are being discontinued or are not barcoded, so they aren’t suitable for putting into the other stores.
“Then there’s last year’s stock, bankrupt stock, wholesale clearance stock and end of line stock, and it will all be going into this unit to be almost given away at silly prices.
“We’ve also got a lot of old show stock because we are not doing as many shows as we used to, so we have got masses to clear and we are going to clear it in this new centre.
“Prices will be so cheap people won’t believe it – Marukyu bait from £1 a bag, Cotswold bait from £1 a bag, the lowest prices on pellets, squirts, boilies, halibut pellets from £1 a bag and groundbaits from £1 a bag, with special opening weekend discounts to get the party underway.
“And as a one-off special for the opening weekend we will be offering ridiculous prices on bivvies, so if you are looking for a bivvy, this will be the weekend to be there.”
Roger will be there to help cut the ribbon on Saturday at 9am and do his Man on the Mic auction on both Saturday and Sunday.
