…despite current financial crisis

EFTTEX 2009 sees 6500 sqm sold in Budapest, an increase of 3.8% from Rome last year at 6260 sqm. Including the association and EFTTA stands the total stand space occupied will actually be 7422 sqm in Budapest against 7300 sqm in Rome. In a country where there are few local fishing tackle companies this is surely an excellent sign.

EFTTEX Organiser, Neena Tailor said: “This has been achieved despite the Italian wholesalers who exhibited in Rome last year not returning to Budapest.  Considering EFTTEX has seen 625 sqm cancelled over the last 3 months we are definitely very impressed with the statistics.  If it weren’t for the recession we may have seen a total floor space of 8000 sqm sold, 10% over Rome.”

The cancellation of the Tackle Trade World Show has had no effects on EFTTEX 2009 exhibitor figures as most of the companies who were there were also at EFTTEX having previously booked both shows.

Trends seem to demonstrate the proactive attitude of companies and the vitality of the Industry despite the financial climate. The EFTTA team continues to work hard to communicate their message to the trade – book despite the recession – you won’t be disappointed.

231 Companies from 32 countries will display their products in Budapest.
