The Eagley Valley once housed a thriving textile mill with a water wheel originally powered by the Eagley Brook. At its height in the 1830s, it was at the centre of the country’s textile industry and was developed to provide housing, schools, shops and services for its 2000 resident workers. Now the mill buildings are luxury homes and the land is dedicated to leisure pursuits providing an ideal tranquil setting for fishing.
The lots are for sale by informal tender through P Wilson & Company and George F. White. All offers must be submitted by Midday on Wednesday 3rd February 2010. Anyone wishing to arrange a viewing should contact the Bedale office of George F. White on Tel. 01677 425301.
