Fishing Breaks, the leading letting agents in southern England, with over 35 miles of river, are hosting an Open Day on Sunday, April 23rd.

Usually the hallowed banks of the River Test are the preserve of the great & the good, not to mention the wealthy. But on the Open Day a selection of prime beats will be open for viewing.

On each of the beats a Fishing Breaks Guide will be on hand to show visitors the water, share their local knowledge & explain the background to the chalkstreams.

This will be the ideal opportunity to view some of the best beats on the River Test, just before the official start of the season. If the weather is kind, good Olive & Grannom hatches will bring the trout on the feed and a smattering of Hawthorn are very likely.

In addition, the recently refurbished Nether Wallop Mill and home to the Fishing School will be open. The Mill has a long & illustrious fishing heritage having been the base for Dermot Wilson in the 1960’s & 70’s and Orvis in the 1980’s & 90’s.

The beats will be open from 11am-4pm. All visitors must pre-register to receive details & maps. To register call 01264 781988, email info@fishingbreaks.com or via the web site www.fishingbreaks.com
