The Hirst Park Trout Ticklers of Ashington , Northumberland have received sponsorship from fishing manufacturer, Hardy & Greys Ltd.

Hardy & Greys have donated 15 Greys G-Series fly fishing outfits to the club.

Founded in 1998 by Hardy & Greys staff, Bob Smith, the Trout Ticklers club is aimed at encouraging families from all over the North East to take up fly fishing and bait fishing for trout.

Throughout the year various fishing open days are organised involving casting tuition and entomology lessons. The families are then encouraged to sign up as members of the club.

Chairman of the Trout Ticklers, John Whitehall said;

“As a non profit club, we rely on sponsorship to keep going and Hardy & Greys have been more than supportive in helping us.”

Richard Sanderson, Hardy & Greys Managing Director said;

“The Trout Ticklers Club is a fantastic initiative that Hardy & Greys have been supporting for years. Anything that gets families taking part in fun things together is great and we are proud to be associated with it.”

The Trout Ticklers have had over 500 members aged from nine years old.
