The weather has carried on being fairly warm with a couple of showers. The water temperature is around 14 C. The rod average is a healthy 4 fish per angler.

Paul Davies of Corwen caught the heaviest fish of the week. It weighed in at 6lb 2oz. He caught it on a Fast Glass line and it took a sparkler. Paul caught it fishing off the woods in a boat.

The best hotspots this week have been round sailing club, Brenig arm, ring of stones and Hafod Lom woods for bank anglers. The best fishing methods this week have been floating lines with various dry fly patterns or nymphs or slow sinking lines with boobies.

The best hotspots for the boats have been round the north end, Hafod Lom woods and tower bay. The most successful fishing methods off a boat this past week have been Fast/Slow glass lines fished with mini lures or dabblers. Heather fly patterns have also been doing well fished with a floating line.

The season closes on Sunday 29th of October 2006.  We are holding our second Pike Fishing event from Monday 30th October – Friday 3rd November.  Boats are selling fast.  For Bookings, contact Dona Davies on 01490 420463.
