PRESS RELEASE
Latest chartplotters now have internal GPS antennae. Just add power!

Another season, another innovation from Lowrance, the leaders in marine leisure electronics who specialise in taking great products and making them even better.

Not content with continually finding new ways to keep their screen technology consistently ahead of their competitors by a substantial margin, Lowrance has now done away with the inconvenience that goes with connecting a chartplotter to an external GPS antenna via unsightly cabling. The result is that 2006 sees the launch of three new models in the Lowrance range that come with internal GPS (iGPS) antennae.

All featuring five-inch, 256-colour TFT screens, the new models are the GlobalMap 3600c iGPS chartplotter (RRP £475 inc VAT) and combination echo sounder / chartplotters the LMS-334c iGPS (RRP £699.95 inc VAT – pictured) and the dual frequency LMS-339CDF iGPS (RRP £799.95 inc VAT).

The internal GPS antennae give these units a versatility unachievable by the conventional, external antennae models, making the chartplotters as much at home in a car as they are in a boat. More information on the individual models featured above will be released shortly.
