The club is receiving many calls about membership at the moment. Members are reminded that the “club office” is only a contact number manned by volunteers – they are not able to answer some days or evenings. If you leave a message someone will return your call ASAP. Any member who has not paid the £3.50 charge for this seasons new key will not be sent one and will be unable to enter our locked fisheries. If a key is requested other than when purchasing a membership then a £1 postage charge will be added to the £3.50 key cost making it £4.50.

Ian Fisher braved a wet and windy North House Lake to bank a 25lb common and 22lb mirror. Scott Larman managed six commons to 24lb 9oz.

Simon Heath has been doing well on the South Lagoon with a string of zander to 9lb 6oz and two 4lb+ eels to 4lb 6oz with a good number of 3lb+ eels to 3lb 13oz.

Mirror CarpWe recently reported on Matt Stephens 23lb 8oz mirror from the Grand Union Canal and have now received the picture. Matt was visiting friends having come up from Cornwall and this was his first ever canal carp!

Last season we received many of your fishing holiday snaps so please send them in again this year!

Match result
Luton AC fished an interclub match against Dunstable AC & Leighton Buzzard AC at the Grand Union Canal Three Locks. There was a good turnout and 31 fished with Dunstable coming out winners on the day.

1st A Mann 11lb 12oz Dunstable AC carp & skimmers
2nd M Copperwheat 10lb 6oz Dunstable AC 1 carp
3rd R Lattimer 5lb 2oz

The winner of our June 2012 photo competition which closes on 30th June 2012 will receive a terrific Starmer Baits bait package. It is open to anyone (members and non members) submitting a digital photo taken on any Luton AC controlled water and it can be of absolutely anything eg a sunset on the canal, a nice fish, wildlife etc. The photos submitted cannot be over a month old, the judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result. We are pleased to announce a new photo competition purely for the predator angler sponsored by King of the Pond www.kingofthepond.com It is open to anyone submitting a digital photo of a pike, zander, chub, perch, eel or catfish caught from a Luton AC controlled water.

The photos must have been taken on or after 1st June 2012 and the closing date for entries is 31st March 2013. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result.
