Hardy & Greys are pleased to announce that Mike Winstone has joined the Greys Carp Academy.

Mike comes to the Greys Carp Academy with a wealth of experience. He has been carp fishing for more than 30 years, owns a successful bait company, and has previously been heavily involved with product and bait development.

As a competition angler, Mike won the British Championships in 2000 and set the new record for the highest weight caught in a 48 hour match, at the time over 570lb. Mike’s coarse fishing strengths include watercraft, rigs, method feeder fishing and bait application.

Iain McGeary, Greys Carp Academy Manager explains;
“It is Mike’s fishing ability and experience, positive attitude and industry knowledge that make him a great acquisition for Greys. Mike will be a great asset for the product managers to call upon as they are designing and developing, and looking for feedback on new projects. He brings a lot to the table in terms of experience and innovative ideas, we are really looking forward to having him as part of the team”.

Mike joins the team of highly talented members that include Tony Makepeace, Dave Moore and Lee Collings.

Mike said;
‘I am very excited about joining the Greys Carp Academy and I am looking forward to their future development.’
