John Bailey“The best thing, as ever, is seeing the excited faces of my ‘Peters’ and the massive enthusiasm they show for the sport. It’s so real you can almost touch it. There’s a glow about these kids that lights up the riverbank. Children love to get out and enjoy real challenges in a real situation. The fact I’ve just been fishing with a couple of gorgeous sisters makes me realise that fishing across all gender, all races and all barriers. It’s truly a cosmic sport!”

Also in this month’s edition: Andrew Herd provides a follow up from last month’s article by talking about the history of the split bamboo rod, Chris Ogborne tells us how to take fishing abroad with a Hardy & Greys travel rod, Stevie Munn on Summer Salmon and Tom Sullivan on the fishing delights of Durness, Scotland – just a taster of what this month has to offer!
