Ken Morton 15lb Mirror Carp. Peg 22 on maggotSome big fish have been coming out over the past week from the Old Pool. Ken Morton hooked and landed a 15lb Mirror Carp off peg 22. Ken fished close into the reeds using maggots. Other big fish have been coming off the other end of the Pool, Pegs 16 and 14 in the trees have both produced double figure fish throughout the week. We are expecting another stocking of fish in the next couple of weeks. We shall be introducing another 4,000 fish into the Old Pool. (3,000 Roach and 1,000 Gudgeon). These fish will keep bites coming all the way through the winter.

The Old Pool will be closed on Saturday 24Th October, only,For a private club match. Sorry for any inconvenience. The Old pool is available for match bookings, For enquires please ring  the lodge phone on 01785 282967. The Horseshoe pool which currently has a few trout in has been fishing reasonable. This is an any method Pool which does have coarse fish in it but  whilst targeting the coarse fish, you have a chance to hook into a hard fighting Rainbow Trout. Best methods have been float fished corn and pellet up in the water. A constant feed of pellet is required for plenty of bites, can we please remind anglers the only feed pellets to be used at Seighford must be purchased from the lodge. Hope to see you all down here soon.
