Miami, Florida…August 24…
Commercial fishermen throw hooks where they think fish are. A new patented lure system that sends signals in all directions to bring in fish has created a major “buzz” as research testers in Alaska and Scotland continue proving it works, perhaps too well. Demands for samples crashed the website with 11,282 in 1 hour after everyday anglers and charter operators learned about it in the Miami Herald.

Called “SONARLURE”, the idea is an outgrowth of a government testing project aimed at signaling Dolphins with electronic-created vibrations as portrayed in the movie (“Day of the Dolphin”). Discussions with “interspecies communications expert” John C. Lilly while at the Esalen Institute in California led to study of ways to create tightly defined signals aimed at other specific trophy fish. Now created by pulling a device through the water instead of electronically, current research refinements has made generating such signals possible using specific vibrations at various frequencies created by “trolling” under a patent.

No pipe dream, the science of “Fluid Dynamics” is applied to make the non-electronic way work for commercial fishermen who pull groups of such “senders” on a graphite frame at great depths to bring fish from all directions instead of fishing and hoping to find them right below.

A version being tested to help build business for charter boat fishing in Prince William Sound, Alaska, still suffering from the oil spill concerns, “shocked” operator Bob Swift, a six boat operator, as it regularly brought in giant “catches”. Similar results in a commercial fishing operation off the Shetland Islands near Scotland also confirmed it’s effectiveness.

To cut the worldwide research costs and shorten the time for bringing a consumer version to the everyday “angler”, the maker is in the final testing stage of a consumer version to create interest and develop distributors who will make them available through retailers and direct mail.
