Upcoming book about the life of Terry Glebioska

Angling occasionally throws up an individual worth celebrating; one who should have written a book, but didn’t. One who didn’t expect to claim a record, but did. One who caught plenty of big fish and shared plenty of big laughs, but never sought the recognition now given in Tel Tales, a volume which remembers the angling exploits of renowned and respected big fish specialist Terry Glebioska….

Tel Tales has been compiled and edited by Mick Cutler as a tribute to an angler and friend. The book contains chapters written by many of those who spent happy hours in the company of Terry; those who shared moments of mischief and mayhem,  pride and peril or comedy and chaos, but all of whom remember and cherish the memory of an angler who was often asked to compile his own stories, but never did….

Scheduled for release in November 2013, the pages of Tel Tales are illustrated with superb watercolour satirical cartoons by artist Pete Curtis, each of which serves to embellish chapters by compatriots including Lee Jackson, Martin Locke, Micky Gray, Bob Morris and Terry Dempsey along with a plethora of other instantly recognisable names all of whom contribute accounts which relate to memorable events and exploits. Well known for his capture of a British record carp when Two Tone fell to imitation baits at Conningbrook, his involvement with the historic fish stockings at legendary waters such as Yateley, the pursuit of monster pike and individual innovation which pervaded his angling, Tel Tales is filled with recollections retold with humour and affection by those who knew him best and is a true tribute to an angler often regaled, and always fondly remembered.

Superbly finished, intricately adorned dust jacket with stunning angling and wildlife scenes by artist John Grant, each copy of Tel Tales will be available in leather, special and hardback formats. Demand is expected to be high so copies should be pre-ordered to ensure availability. To pre-order, contact Fishing Booksender, telephone 05601 972040, email info@fishingbooksender.co.uk, or visit the website at www.fishingbooksender.com

To celebrate the publication of Tel Tales, a book signing will be held on Saturday 16th November 2013 at the Land’s End Pub, near Twyford, Reading RG10 0UE, which will see most of the contributors available to sign collectors copies and share their thoughts about Terry Glebioska…..
