The fishery is open till 10pm 7 days a week and the evening sessions continue for fly and bait fishing. All 3 lochans fished very well and the cold rain has really helped move the bigger resident fish and many fish in the 5lb-7lb range have been seen and caught.
Two double figure specimen trout were caught this week. A 12lb 9oz rainbow trout from the middle fly pond by Mr Anderson (Kirkintilloch) using cormorants, and a 11lb rainbow for Mr Goodie (Falkirk) from the bait pond using powerbait. Mr McGregor (Doune) also caught a nice 8lb 8oz rainbow on the fly.
One red tagged trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Stevenson (Bonnybridge) winning hi £50.
Best flies this week were: Washing line with Buzzers, Diawl Bach, PTN. Black Nomad, Cormorant, Damsel. Best bait: Power Bait, Mepp Spoons, Tobys, Maggots.
