FIVE Red £50 Prize Tagged Trout were caught this week by lucky anglers Mr J Temporal (Denny), Mr B Jackson (Coatbridge), Mr J Allan (Lochwinnoch), Mr C Main (Dunfermline) and a member of the M.O.D Faslane AC. There are loads of Red £50 tags and White £500 tagged fish in the water, getting stocked and caught every week at the moment.
Mr J Hessey (Carluke) won the Wellsfield Flymasters 2009 Competition on Sunday with 5 fish for 16lb 14oz.
TWO double figure specimens were caught this week. A 13lb 4oz rainbow trout by Mr Adams (Cumbernauld) using sparklers in his bag of 4 fish for 25lb, and a 11lb rainbow for Jnr angler B Sinclair (Larbert) using maggots in his 3 fish for 17lb 8oz from the bait pond.
Best flies this week were: Epoxy Buzzers, Claret Damsel, Orange Blob, Crafteye Cat. Best bait: Power Bait, Mepp Spoons, Tazmanian Devil Lures, Maggots.
