All three fishery lochans are fishing very well at the moment. Many anglers caught their fish limits and the average weight was over 3lb per trout with many 4lb –5lb trout caught over the week.
TWO specimens were caught this week: Mr Gallagher (Stirling) caught a 11lb rainbow in his bag of 3 for 17lb using sparkler lures, and Mr Donaldson (Linlithgow) caught a 10lb rainbow from the bait pond using mepp spinners in his 3 for 16lb.
Best flies this week: Mini-Cats, Min-Fritz, Diawl Bach, Buzzers fished on a floating or intermediate line. Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Spinners.
